Know Your Kindred – Rico Loco
Name: Rico Loco
Clan: Ventrue antitribu
Generation: 13th
Embrace: 1972
Rico is a complete maniac. Most Sabbat think he is out of his mind. But that doesn’t prevent some of them from admiring him. If the Black Hand has one complaint about Rico, it’s that when he kills an enemy he generally leaves nothing to diablerize.
He is highly skilled at making and planting bombs. He can build a variety of remotely controlled, timed or bobby-trapped devices, but prefers to watch his explosions.
Rico became a bomb maker in college. He joined a radical leftist group and together they would blow up billboards belonging to corporations they didn’t like. Rico felt his friends were wonderfully dangerous. He took it a step further and blew up a police station. His friends weren’t that radical and Rico found himself alone and on the run. That’s when the Sabbat found him.
They were looking for a bomb-throwing revolutionary and Rico fell instantly in love with a pack member, Rosa-Maria. He took on her cause against the Camarilla, who Rosa explained were the ones truly responsible for the oppression of the world. As Rosa-Maria’s ghoul, Rico destroyed the havens of several enemies. Eventually Rico earned the Embrace and he found his new existence carried blessings with its curses. His body grew tougher, his eye sight perfect, injuries quickly healed. He flaunted his new abilities, fought the power and blew stuff up. For Rico, being Sabbat rocked!
Eventually Rico was honored to be invited into the Black Hand as a cadet.
Rico doesn’t care who his target is, Camarilla, Sabbat, independent, mortal or other. He just likes to make a big boom.
Rico only feeds on service station attendants. He likes the hint of oil and gasoline in their blood.
Rico looks like a pale, skinny and unshaven young man with unkept black hair. He wears a scorched, chemical-stained leather jacket. He never wears synthetic fibers, since they melt and stick when burned. He smells of gasoline and chemicals. He often asks people to speak up and talks loudly himself, because his explosive experiments in his mortal days left him slightly deaf.
